# What does a draft order with the tag “draft_order_for_checkout_button” mean?

When a customer clicks the **Shopify Checkout** button on the form to make a payment:

1. A draft order is created in Shopify with the tag `draft_order_for_checkout_button`.
2. Shopify generates an invoice link and redirects the customer to complete the payment.

* **If the payment is completed**, the draft order is converted into a regular paid order.
* **If the payment is not completed**, the order remains in the **Draft Orders** section of Shopify.
